PRIVACY POLICY

The short version

ProjectCalc is a calculator site. The calculators run entirely in your browser. Your inputs never leave the page and are never sent to any server, including ours.

We don't require an account, we don't collect email addresses, and we don't sell anything to anyone.

What we collect

Anonymous traffic statistics.Vercel Analytics records anonymized page views (which calculator pages were visited, from which country, and on what type of device) so we can see what's being used. No cookies, no personal identifiers, no tracking across other websites.

Google Analytics.We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It sets cookies and collects an anonymized IP address, approximate location, device type, and referring site. It is here because advertising partners require an independent traffic source they can verify. You can opt out using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Server logs. Vercel automatically logs HTTP requests (IP address, user-agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a short period and never combined with other data to identify individuals.

What we don't collect

We don't use Facebook Pixel, fingerprinting scripts, or session recording. Apart from Google Analytics and the Grow script described below, no third-party analytics follows you across the web.

Advertising

ProjectCalc does not currently show any ads. The calculators are paid for by the cheat sheets, plan sets, and code review services sold on this site.

We do run the Grow script from Mediavine, which may set cookies for audience measurement and reader features. It measures the audience; it does not serve ads.

We may show ads in future. If that happens, this section will be updated to name the advertising partner before the first ad appears, and third-party vendors may then use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings and, for other vendors, at aboutads.info/choices.

Affiliate links

We may include affiliate links to retailers like Home Depot, Lowe's, or Amazon for products mentioned in calculator FAQs. Clicking these doesn't cost you anything extra; we may earn a small commission if you buy something. Affiliate clicks pass standard tracking parameters to those retailers — their privacy policies apply once you leave our site.

Your rights

Because we don't maintain user accounts or personal data, there isn't any data of yours for us to access, export, or delete. Local storage data is yours to manage in your browser.
